Raspberry Buns

Summary
Simple and fun biscuits, perfectly paired with our Zingy Raspberry Jam.
Ingredients:
200g self-raising flour​
100g butter or margarine​
100g sugar caster​
1tbsp milk​
1 pinch salt​
1 medium egg​
80g Cottage Delight Zingy Raspberry Jam

Cooking Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200ºC/Fan 180°C/Gas 4

  2. Grease and flour baking tray

  3. Mix flour and salt in a large bowl and rub in butter/margarine using fingertips

  4. Stir in caster sugar and then make a well in the centre

  5. Whisk eggs lightly and stir in with a wooden spoon, mix in the milk

  6. On a floured board, knead the mixture and divide into 1o pieces

  7. Shape each one into a round bun and place on the prepared baking tray

  8. Make a hollow by gently pushing your thumb into the centre and then put the jam in the middle

  9. Bake for 10-12 mins, until well risen and brown. Cool on a wire rack and enjoy!
