Summary
Ingredients:
1 pack Asparagus tips
2 tsp olive oil
4 oz chive cream cheese softened
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp salt
1 Sheet Puff Pastry
250g Gruyere cheese, grated
1 egg for egg wash
1/2 jar Cottage delight caramelised onion chutney

Cooking Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

  2. Drizzle olive oil over the asparagus, and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Unfold the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Using a sharp knife score the edges leaving a 1-inch border. Then using a fork, prick the puff pastry sheet.

  4. Spread the cream cheese over the puff pastry sheet inside the border, sprinkle with gruyere cheese and then dollop as much chutney as you’d like over the top.

  5. Top with the asparagus tips arranging them to be parallel with each other. Brush the border/edges with an egg wash.

  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the puff pastry is puffed and lightly browned.

  7. Remove from the oven, cut into squares, and serve warm or at room temperature.
