Poppadom Burger

Serves 6
Sweet and oh-so-simple. Mince beef gets a fruity twist with a cool finish.
1tbsp chilli powder
1tsp salt
½tsp black pepper
900g mince beef
3tbsp teriyaki sauce
1tbsp grated fresh ginger
3 garlic cloves, finely grated
1 ripe sliced mango
Salt and pepper
6 toasted seeded rolls
Cottage Delight Poppodom Mango Chutney
Salad, to serve
Sweet potato fries, to serve

Cooking Method

  1. Preheat the grill to high. Combine the minced beef, teriyaki sauce, ginger, garlic salt and black pepper in a medium bowl. Mix with your hands until combined. Form into six burgers and place on a wire rack set on a rimmed baking sheet.

  2. Grill the patties until lightly charred in spots, about 4 minutes per side for medium rare.

  3. Meanwhile peel the mango and thinly slice.

  4. Serve the burgers on the buns with Poppodom Mango Chutney, salad and sliced mango. Serve with a fruity coleslaw and sweet potato fries.
