- Summary
- Ingredients:
- 1 jar of Cottage Delight Bramley Apple Sauce
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp toffee sauce
- 1 egg, to egg wash
- 1 roll pre-made puff pastry
- Whipped cream, to serve
- Icing sugar, to serve
Cooking Method
Add the apple sauce, cinnamon, and toffee sauce into a preheated pan. Stir and simmer for 8-10 minutes.
Remove the hot apple pie filling into a heatproof bowl and leave it to cool completely.
Roll out the puff pastry and trim with a knife to create small rectangle shapes (approximately 13 x 16cm). Use a rolling pin to make the pastry slightly thinner.
Brush the perimeter of each small rectangle with egg wash. Then add 1 and a half tablespoons of the cool apple pie filling onto one side of the pastry. Try to leave a gap from the edge of the pastry. Fold over the other side and seal the pastry with a fork to push down the edges. Use a knife to create 3-4 slits on top of the pies.
Once all the pies are prepped add the egg wash and sprinkle over the granulated white sugar on each pie.
Carefully place into the preheated air fryer. Air fry for 10-12 minutes at 175c. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Serve hot with icing sugar and ice cream or whipped cream.
