Cook up a storm with this easy fish pie in 6 simple steps!
Ingredients:
50g salted butter
25g Plain flour
4 Spring onions
400ml Milk
Small bunch chives (chopped)
2 Salmon fillets, cubed
250g Smoked Haddock, cubed
150g Cooked prawns
100g Peas
100g Chopped celery
Handful Grated cheese
1kg Potatoes (peeled and cut into chunks)
5Tbsp Gourmet Hot Dog Sauce

Cooking Method

  1. Heat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas mark 6. Peal the potatoes, halved and boil in a saucepan for 20 minutes or until tender

  2. In the meantime, mix 40g butter, plain flour and finely sliced spring onions in a pan and heat gently until the butter has melted, stirring regularly for 1-2 mins.

  3. Gradually whisk in 400ml milk using a balloon whisk if you have one. Bring to the boil, stirring to avoid any lumps and sticking at the bottom of the pan. Cook for 3 minutes until thickened.

  4. Take off the heat and stir in prawns, cubed salmon, cubed cod, 1 tsp Gourmet Hot Dog Sauce, a small bunch of finely snipped chives, peas and chopped celery and transfer to an oven dish.

  5. Drain potatoes thoroughly and mash with a splash of milk, knob of butter and 4 Tbsps Gourmet Hot Dog Sauce. Spoon the mashed potato on top of fish mix and sprinkle with a handful of grated cheddar cheese.

  6. Pop in the oven for 20-25 mins or until golden and bubbling at the edges.
