Sausage and Tomato Pasta One Pot

This easy one pot dinner is a weeknight favorite and deliciously moreish!
1 jar Tomato and Red Pepper Cooking Sauce
Olive oil
400g sausage meat
1 red pepper, chopped into chunks
1tsp smoked paprika
1tsp ground fennel
2tsp dried oregano
1/2tsp dried chilli flakes
250g pasta
2tbsp cream cheese
2tbsp parmesan
Pinch salt and pepper
Handful fresh basil

Cooking Method

  1. Boil a saucepan and cook pasta until soft, around 10 minutes

  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over a high heat

  3. Add the sausage mince and red pepper to the pan and fry until slightly browned (around 5 minutes)

  4. Pour in the Tomato and Red Pepper Cooking Sauce, oregano, and chilli flakes

  5. Bring to a simmer, pop the lid on the pan and allow to cook for a further 10 minutes

  6. Add the cooked pasta to the tomato mixture

  7. Spoon in the cream cheese and parmesan and stir through for a thicker sauce

  8. Season with salt and pepper, stir in, then finish with some fresh basil
