Pear & Prosciutto Melts

Serves 1
2 slices thick crusty bread
2tbsp mayonnaise
3tsp Sweet Apple Chutney
2 slices of prosciutto
30g Gruyere cheese
½ medium pear, thinly sliced

Cooking Method

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet over a medium heat.

  2. Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise over one side of each piece of bread.

  3. On the opposite side, spread over the Sweet Apple Chutney. Place the slices mayonnaise side down onto the skillet, top with prosciutto, pear slices and cheese. Finish with remaining slice of bread, mayonnaise side up.

  4. Using the skillet, toast each melt, turning once to ensure both sides are golden brown. Serve.
