Bucks Fizz Curd Chai Doughnuts

Perfect for cold mornings, our no fuss, easy bake doughnuts coated in delicious spices and brimming with our new Bucks Fizz Curd.
320g plain flour
170ml warm whole milk
5g dried active yeast
60g melted butter
60g caster sugar
Pinch of salt
2 egg yolks
1tsp vanilla extract
1 jar Bucks Fizz All Butter Curd
50g melted butter
3tsp instant chai tea powder
8tbsp caster sugar

Cooking Method

  1. Mix the milk, yeast, 120g plain flour and 60g caster sugar together in a bowl. Cover this with cling film and allow to activate in a warm place for 15-20 minutes.


  2. Remaining flour, 60g butter, egg yolks, vanilla, and salt. Form the dough and knead until smooth adding more flour, a small amount at a time if it’s too sticky.

  3. Cover with cling film and allow to prove until doubled in size. Divide the dough into 8 equal balls and cover again for a final prove which should
    take around 40 minutes.

  4. Preheat the oven to 190°C/170°C fan/gas 5 and bake the doughnuts for 12 minutes until risen golden brown and springy to touch.

  5. While they are still warm, dip in the melted butter before rolling a mixture of chai tea powder and sugar.

  6. Allow to cool before spooning or piping in the Bucks Fizz All Butter Curd into the centre of each donut.
