About Cottage Delight
Cottage Delight is a family owned company producing award winning speciality preserves, chutneys, sauces and pickles for more than 40 years. We hold popular tasting events on weekdays and weekends at delicatessens, farm shops, garden centres and other independent customer outlets across the country.
A self-employed role. We require enthusiastic, part time brand ambassadors to host local tasting events. Acting as an ambassador for Cottage Delight, we will require you to promote our brand and products, encourage consumers to taste them and promote the unique selling points which include how they’re made, product versatility and quality. Interaction with consumers and customers is a key part of the role to increase store revenue. Full training will be provided for successful applicants.
Experience and skills
An up to date Food Hygiene Certificate and previous experience of working in a demonstrator or within a customer service role is essential together with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle as you will be required to travel to the different event locations. Basic computer skills are a prerequisite as some information is communicated electronically, including the completion of forms.
Communication skills are imperative in order to convey knowledge of products, encourage tastings and deliver a high sales conversion.
Operating within a customer facing role, it is essential that adherence to food safety standards is attained and individuals should possess a professional, clean and tidy appearance with the highest standards of personal hygiene.
A tiered payment structure is in operation for work undertaken at Consumer Shows, Markets, Food Fairs, and in Store.
This is a self-employed role and it is your own responsibility to declare any taxable income to the Inland Revenue during any given financial year.

We have permanent vacancies for Production Operatives. Working as part of a team to produce speciality food products. Undertaking Production duties as required by the Company to meet business and customer demands. Applicants will need to be punctual, reliable and possess the ability to work as part of a team or on their own with minimal supervision. Production / Process control knowledge within the food industry would be advantageous but full training will be provided.
The role requires a flexible approach to working patterns and duties that will include the ability to work a rotating day and noon shift pattern, Mon to Fri. Working 40 hours per week, working patterns will be discussed at interview.
We are looking for Packing Operatives to assist with our busy Christmas work schedule. You will be working in our Assembly Department packing and labelling a range of luxury food products into gift packs/hampers. No experience necessary as training will be given, rate of pay to be discussed at interview. Hours – day shift only, 41.5 hours per week, 8am till 5pm Mon to Thurs, 8am till 4pm Friday.
