Pan Fried Steak with Diane Sauce

A thick cut succulent steak is a real treat. The addition of Cottage Delight Dijon Mustard gives this delicious sauce a rich full flavour.

Ingredients

  • 2 x 8oz fillet steaks, seasoned
  • 1 oz of unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp of Brandy
  • 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cottage Delight Dijon Mustard
  • 200ml single cream
  • Handful of chopped parsley

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a hot frying pan and add the seasoned steaks, cooking each side according to how you like your steak. Remove steaks and keep warm.
  2. Add brandy to the pan, stand back and allow for the alcohol to burn off.
  3. Follow with the Worcestershire Sauce, Cottage Delight Dijon Mustard and seasoning, finish with the cream, juices left from the resting steaks and chopped parsley.
  4. Pour the sauce over the steaks and serve with home made chips and watercress salad.
