Pan Fried Steak with Diane Sauce
A thick cut succulent steak is a real treat. The addition of Cottage Delight Dijon Mustard gives this delicious sauce a rich full flavour.
Ingredients
- 2 x 8oz fillet steaks, seasoned
- 1 oz of unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp of Brandy
- 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Cottage Delight Dijon Mustard
- 200ml single cream
- Handful of chopped parsley
Method
- Melt the butter in a hot frying pan and add the seasoned steaks, cooking each side according to how you like your steak. Remove steaks and keep warm.
- Add brandy to the pan, stand back and allow for the alcohol to burn off.
- Follow with the Worcestershire Sauce, Cottage Delight Dijon Mustard and seasoning, finish with the cream, juices left from the resting steaks and chopped parsley.
- Pour the sauce over the steaks and serve with home made chips and watercress salad.
