Welcome to Cottage Delight Ltd, purveyors of speciality foods since 1974.

Only the finest ingredients and traditional production methods are used to make our wide range of award winning jams, marmalades and chutneys. Proud members of Heart of England Fine Foods and Taste of Staffordshire, we are staunch supporters of the independent trade. Cottage Delight products are available through quality independent retailers including department stores, garden centres, farm shops, tourist attractions, delicatessens, traditional grocers and fishmongers.

We are proud of every one of our products, all of which deliver that home made look and taste which Cottage Delight is renowned for – I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Our Past

My passion for gourmet food began when I developed a traditional, all butter tablet fudge in my family kitchen back in 1974.

It proved to be a great success and as I continued supplying to other, like-minded independent businesses I soon found myself being asked to produce different foods such as jams and chutneys.

I invested in commercial kitchens, producing jams and marmalades in traditional copper pans, using small batch methods, poured, packed and labelled by hand – a practice we still use today.

Our Future

Today at Cottage Delight we continue to create new products, developing the best traditional recipes and sourcing only the finest authentic ingredients. This creative process is still something I love to be part of – it takes me back to those early years.

Working with small, artisan producers I have now expanded our selection to include hand baked biscuits and cakes, French artisan pâtés, authentic Italian pastas and hand cooked crisps to name just a few.

If I’ve learnt anything over the years, it is that people’s tastes change, but classic gourmet foods and traditional recipes can outlive the trends if they remain true to their origins.

Anyway, it’s always more fun to have a little artistic licence!

Awards

Our consistent devotion to taste and quality has been rewarded with 119 Great Taste Awards to date – the highest accolades for food manufacturers.

Products are subjected to a blind tasting by food experts including esteemed critics and journalists, all experts in their field, and pitted against our leading competitors.

It is a great honour to receive these prestigious awards.

We are also proud to have won 4 consecutive Brammy Awards given to manufacturers of products which include the Great British Bramley Apple. Many of our chutneys and of course, our delicious Bramley Apple Sauce, contain a high Bramley Apple content and we endeavour to use the Bramley wherever a recipe calls for it.
